After his exceptional performance in the now defunct "Pinoy Fear Factor" (PFF) show, participant Manuel Chua has ventured into acting via ABS-CBN's "Precious Hearts Romances: Bud Brothers."

In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Chua said that he is really "ecstatic" with his first acting project.

"Ang pagkakasali ko po dito sa 'Bud Brothers' very excited po na nini-nerbiyos. Kumbaga mixed emotions po talaga pero siyempre gusto kong pagbutihin ang binigay sa aking chance," he said.

Chua had ranked third place on the "Pinoy Fear Factor" show prior to his first acting gig.

Dubbed as “Super Manuel,” Chua said that although he is still a newcomer in showbiz, he will surely give all his heart in best for his first acting role.

"Hindi ko po masyadong (masabi na handa na) hangga't hindi ko po naibibigay ang performance ko. Gusto ko pong masubukan... pero ita-try kong i-give kung ano talaga ang kaya ko," he said.

Chua, who already shot some of the scenes for "Bud Brothers", shared some of his experience during his first try at taping a show.

"Noong start po sa tingin ko ay medyo stiff ako pero ngayon po ay medyo kumportable na ako ulit," he said.
 
Chua, the struggling businessman and the erstwhile "king of stunts," failed to get the chance to be named the first "El Ultimo Participante" of PFF after he was edged out during the first stunt of the ultimate round of eliminations.
 
“Super Manuel" failed the challenge when he was the slowest to get out of a makeshift grave in the "buried alive" stunt.

‘Acting with Janna’

In his first acting project, Chua will also be working with his first on-screen leading lady Janna Dominguez who happens to be his first crush during their PFF days in Argentina.

He said that it really feels better working with Dominguez, whom he now considers to be his good friend.

"Kasi naging magkaibigan kami ni Janna. Ngayon po magkasama kami dito parang hindi po ako gaanong kinakabahan kaysa ipa-partner ako sa ibang babae," he said.

Asked if there will be a chance to rekindle his special feeling for Dominguez now that they will work together, Chua said: "Siguro po."
 
Aside from doing "Bud Brothers," Chua will also be part of ABS-CBN's forthcoming show "George & Cecil."
