John Lloyd starts shooting film in NYC

John Lloyd Cruz arrived in New York City from Houston Texas early Monday evening, just barely getting any rest from his multi-city heartthrob tour with Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby.
Cruz finished a three-night, three-city tour Sunday evening.
The Philippine Box Office king said he looked forward to working Vilma Santos and Luis Manzano in New York City for the Star Cinema film "In My Life" which started shooting on location on Tuesday.
"[To] portray life in New York City, it’s an eye opener also for mga Filipinos back home. Kasi sila pagka inisip nila yung America, when a Filipino is working abroad, especially in the States, parang akala nila ang sarap nang buhay, parang hindi nila alam yung mga struggles ng mga Pinoy dito. In that sense parang ang sarap i-portray para maintindihan ng mga kababayan natin back home kung ano ba talaga, kung gaano ba talagang kahirap ang buhay dito,” he said.
But Cruz is still hoping he'll have time for something else besides work, since he said he was excited about spending time with his relatives in America.
"If the schedule would allow me, I'm looking forward to spending time with my family. Marami akong relatives dito on my mother's side," he said.
Having gone to New York City for relaxing vacations prior to the shoot, Cruz said it will be an interesting experience to portray the hard life of working overseas Filipino workers.
“I've been here a lot of times, pero, when I think of New York kasi, it's more vacation. You know parang, it's a good place. You know for me, in my case and my family is here so when I think of New York, parang I want to relax, I want to watch plays, musicals. And well, it will be interesting also to work here, para makita ng mga kababayan natin, ano bang meron sa New York and paano ba ang buhay sa New York,” he said.
