One of the country's popular leading men Richard Gomez said that he is still undecided if he will run for next year's national elections.
"Alam mo 2010 ay malayo pa hindi namin iniisip iyon. Masyadong maaga pa. Let's see, hindi natin alam kung ano ang maaaring mangyari. If people really want our help, let's see," Gomez said in a statement.
In an interview with "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon," Gomez said that it is too early to decide to plunge into politics since he is busy with other things besides his career.
Currently, Gomez and his wife Lucy Torres, who are reportedy trying for another baby, are in Boracay for the GOMA Cup Reunion that will end this Saturday, April 25.
Gomez, a former nominee of party-list MAD (Mamamayang Ayaw sa Droga) tried his luck in politics when he ran for senatorial election in 2007 but eventually lost.
'Date with the Megastar'
In the same interview, Gomez answered reports that he and former sweetheart Megastar Sharon Cuneta will do a reunion movie under ABS-CBN's production outfit Star Cinema, saying he believes that the project with Cuneta may not push through.
"Parang hindi kasi na (matutuloy) noong sinabi ni Malou Santos (Star Cinema’s managing director) sa akin na gagawin namin 'yon early part of the year, pero sinimulan niya nang gawin 'yong (movie niya kasama si) Ai-Ai so mostly hindi na yun," Gomez explained.
Cuneta and Gomez starred together in hit films like "Walang Kapalit" and "Minsan Minahal Kita."
Recently, Gomez wrapped up his family game show "Family Feud."
