'In My Life' tours viewers around New York
Batangas Governor Vilma Santos, the lead star in the upcoming Star Cinema film "In My Life" promised moviegoers a tour of New York City as they watch her comeback film this year.
"We're going to show you different landmarks of New York, but at the same time may istorya. It's not all pasyal. So I'm sure iyong mga manonood ng movie, they will enjoy it," Santos told ABS-CBN North America News Bureau.
Santos will play the role of an overweight mother to her real-life son, Luis Manzano, a discreet gay in the movie, which was originally titled "A Mother's Story."
Manzano's gay lover in the movie is John Lloyd Cruz.
Since arriving earlier this week, Santos and Cruz have been shooting some scene around the New York City area.
Manzano had just arrived in New York City, completing the star-studded cast. The three started shooting together at Times Square on Friday morning.
Vilma's son to actor and game show host Edu Manzano said it was his first time in the Big Apple.
"Yes, first time ever in New York. I'm very excited. I've always wanted to see the city and you know I couldn't wiat to start working with my mom and John Lloyd. So I'm sure it's going to be a blast," Manzano said.
Reports have it that the producers of the movie, directed by Olive Lamasan and co-written by Raymond Lee and Senedy Que, will feature behind-the-scenes features of the three-week shoot in New York.
There were rumors that Manzano and Cruz will have a kissing scene in the movie. With a report from Lenn Thornhill, ABS-CBN North America News Bureau
