ASAP mainstay Zanjoe Marudo of the “Coverboys” revealed that he is not so much into mestiza women as he prefers those who are half-Filipina.

“Di naman mestizang-mestiza. Parang si Anne,” said Zanjoe during the “Screentriga” segment of “Entertainment Live.”

Marudo was referring to Anne Curits, his co-star in “Dyosa,” and in the upcoming Primetime Bida show “The Wedding.”

It was revealed on “E-live” that Marudo had a crush on Curtis way back when she was still with the other network.

Aside from Anne, Zanjoe said that he also finds Mega daughter KC Concepcion beautiful.

Topping his list of showbiz beauties, however, is his none other than his girlfriend, Mariel Rodriguez.

“Siyempre si Mariel ang number one,” declared Marudo.

'Falcon'

The “E-live” segment also revealed that Zanjoe was a member of the San Sebastian College basketball varsity team in high school.

“Dapat doon ako pupunta sa pagba-baseketball,” Marudo said of his life before he tried out modeling and showbiz.

He also admitted, “Di naman ako talaga star player, heartthrob lang,” he said in jest.

“Pinakamataas kong nagawa is 12 points,” he related. That result was published in the newspaper along with the scores of his teammates, he said.

“Hanggang ngayon, ‘yong diyaryong ‘yon nahuli ko na tinatago pa rin ng tatay ko, kasi proud siya na nandoon yung apelyido niya,” Zanjoe said.

“Siguro punit-punit na ‘yon, sobrang tagal na,” he added.

Zanjoe, meantime, also shared that his father gave him the nickname “Falcon” while his brother is called “Agila.”

He said his father did that because he wants his sons to soar high and fulfill their dreams, a challenge that Marudo said he is trying to achieve.

Zanjoe’s father is in the United States. He said the last time he saw his father was when he went to New York last year to visit his dad and siblings. He was in the US because the Coverboys were on tour.

“Next na magkakaroon ako ng break, dadalawin kita ulit diyan,” Zanjoe addressed his father.

He explained that he did not go to the US during his most recent break because he was not able to get a visa. He went to Paris, France instead.
