MANILA, Philippines – Moviegoers will see the first team-up of actor Diether Ocampo and actress Maja Salvador in Star Magic's 20th anniversary film offering.

Salvador will play the secretary of Ocampo's character in the film

The film, which stars the biggest names under ABS-CBN’s talent management firm, will show the farthest lengths one can go to for love, Salvador said.

“’Yung kwento nito – ano ba ang mga kabaliwan natin? Ano ba ang magagawa mong kabaliwan para sa pag-ibig? Lahat kami dito, may kanya-kanyang kwento. Magtutugma-tugma kaming lahat, magkikita-kita kami, at sa bawat isang character, mare-realize ng manonood na, ‘Ay, ginawa ko na ‘yan [para] sa pag-ibig,’” Salvador said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

For their segment in the film, Salvador will play Ocampo’s secretary. On her latest leading man, the young actress said she feels lucky to be paired with a relatively more experienced actor.

“Akala ko hindi ko na siya maaabutan, pero naabutan ko siya. Dati ‘diba, bagets-bagets pa talaga ako, nanonood ako nu'ng mga team-up niya with Kristine Hermosa, with Claudine Barretto, sina Judy Ann. Tapos ngayon, ang-swerte ko naman, magkasama naman kaming dalawa,” Salvador enthused.

'Walang iwanan'

On their age gap – she is 23, he is 37 – Salvador said Ocampo has shown appreciation for her youthful energy on set, and has been a complete gentleman in filming their scenes.

“Sa akin yata siya nagulat eh, kasi sinasabi niya nami-miss niya raw ‘yung ganitong energy. Kasi ‘pag sa set, gusto ko masaya lang, so hanggang maaari, binubuhay ko ‘yung set, tapos nagugulat siya sa akin,” she said.

“Since kami ‘yung palaging magkasama sa film na ‘to, dapat walang iwanan, parehas kaming naka in-character talaga, walang maiiwan. Marunong siyang umalalay, very gentlemanly,” she added.

Star Magic's 20th anniversary film offering will also feature Kapamilya stars John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Piolo Pascual, Jake Cuenca, Pokwang and Angelica Panganiban.
