Shaina says she'll be Coco's 'protector'
MANILA, Philippines - Actress Shaina Magdayao said it is a dream come true for her to be part of the hit ABS-CBN series "Juan dela Cruz."
In the series, Magdayao plays the role of Princess Mira, a fairy whose mission is to protect the lead character, Juan dela Cruz, which is portrayed by actor Coco Martin.
Noong in-offer nila sa akin ito, oo agad-agad," she said.
Magdayao, whose last TV project is the ABS-CBN afternoon soap "Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo," believes that she was "destined" to be part of "Juan dela Cruz."
"Ako ay nagpapahinga sa Europe, at may text ako na natanggap from Sir Deo Endrinal at Biboy Arboleda, nagsho-shooting sila ng film nina Coco at Julia (Montes).
Unlike other guest stars, Magdayao is said to play a big role in "Juan dela Cruz," which airs weeknights after "TV Patrol."
