Sharon Cuneta is all set to be sexy
The Megastar Sharon Cuneta revealed that losing weight and having a healthy body are two of the things she wants to achieve before this year's end, in time for a concert tour in the United States.
"My vow is that I want to look my best. I want to be healthy this year and I want to be best looking this year and feel good, that is my promise," Cuneta said.
Cuneta, who is reportedly now on a diet, said that although she is really hoping to lose weight, she won't be undergoing any cosmetic surgery. "Tapos na ang doctor noon pa eh, hindi naman tatalab, kahit i-vacuum ang taba mo from your body hindi din magsa-succeed," Cuneta said.
The actress said she has accepted the fact that the road to her "dream weight" will be challenging. "It's a hard diet, difficult. But nandoon sobra ngayon 'yong gana ko. Ganadong-ganado ako, nagmamadali akong maabot 'yong goal ko na weight kasi may concert tour ako gusto ko pag-uwi ay ma-surprise ang mga Sharonans at kayo," she said.
The Megastar revealed that aside from a diet, she will be starting a regular exercise regimen after shooting her newest movie "Best Friends Forever (BFF)" with Queen of Comedy Ai-Ai delas Alas.
Cuneta said she does not mind that the film pokes fun at her weight issues, adding that she is very open about her weight. "I make fun of myself and I allow them to make fun of me," she said.
'Best Friends Forever'
After the success of Cuneta’s film “Caregiver” and delas Alas’s comedy flick “Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat,” Star Cinema’s "BFF" vows to be another winning ensemble with its powerhouse combination and an excellent script by Mel del Rosario and superb direction from Wenn Deramas.
"BFF," Star Cinema's Mother's Day offering, is Cuneta’s first venture into comedy after a long hiatus and Delas Alas's first comedy film with one of the best dramatic in the Philippine cinema. The film tells the story of two best friends who are unaware that they are after the same man.
Cuneta plays the wife of a character played by John Estrada while delas Alas plays the role of a gym instructor, who helps Cuneta reduce weight. In the process, they develop a friendship that will last them "forever." But who knows what will happen to the pair when Estrada gets attracted to delas Alas, who is unaware that Estrada's husband is her BFF Cuneta?
The film also stars Joy Viado, Empress Schuck, Miles Ocampo, Enchong Dee, DJ Durano, Chokoleit and Ms. Gina Pareño. Watch out for "BFF" which is set to hit theaters nationwide on May 13.
