Judai and Ryan: How it all began
Newly-married showbiz power couple Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos finally put all speculations on their wedding to rest when they tied the knot Tuesday morning in Batangas.
Their marriage comes after they portrayed roles as boyfriend and girlfriend as well as husband and wife in their television shows and movies.
Santos and Agoncillo were first paired as a love team in 2004 for the fantaserye “Krystala.”
But before becoming a love team, Ryan and Judy Ann’s first encounter was just a casual meeting in the studio of photographer Raymund Isaac. All they exchanged back then were “Hi” and “Hello” greetings.
The second time they saw each other was in a beauty salon where Judai was having herself fixed while Ryan was getting a haircut. They greeted each other again with “Hi” and “Hello.”
It was during their “Krystala” days when their friendship deepened and their relationship blossomed.
Ryan played the role of Miguel who became the husband of Judai’s character, Tala.
Talks about their budding relationship surfaced during the fantaserye’s running but they maintained that they were just good friends.
They confirmed their relationship after “Krystala” ended and have been inseparable ever since.
Judai and Ryan brought their relationship to the big screen when they played a married couple in the hit movie “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo” (2006) and its sequel, “Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo” (2007).
Their love team reunited on TV for the soap opera “Ysabella.”
The couple continued to support each other in their respective independent film projects.
Ryan was the lead in the indie film “Umaaraw, Umuulan” where Judai made a cameo appearance.
When Judai produced her independent film “Ploning,” Ryan gave his girlfriend his all-out support.
In 2008, Ryan surprised Judai on her 30th birthday celebration on May 14 when he asked for her hand in marriage.
Their engagement was only confirmed by the media on June 19, 2008.
After around 11 months of wedding preparations, it can be said that the marriage of Judai and Ryan is now for real, and not just for reel.—with reports from “Ruffa and Ai” and Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
