Will Kris be allowed to do a movie with Derek?

MANILA -- After being romantically linked to each other, host-actress Kris Aquino is hoping she will be able to do a movie with former Kapamilya actor Derek Ramsay.

In her official Instagram account, Aquino posted a photo of her, Ramsay, producer Lily Monteverde, host Boy Abunda and film director Erik Matti in what appears to be a dinner meeting.

The same photo was posted by Ramsay last May 1, with the caption: “It was nice to see and brainstorm with all these guys last night. Excited to start this new project. @krisaquino214.”

But in her late post, Aquino said it is still possible that the movie will not push through.

"Here's hoping the movie project (an adult relationship drama about going with the flow of love after mutual failed relationships) w/ @ramsayderek11 to be directed by Erik Matti pushes through. Roadblocks? Tight shooting schedule, readiness of the script & most importantly approval from my boss @cvvidanes," Aquino said, referring to ABS-CBN executive Cory Vidanes.

Last March, Aquino confirmed that she has turned down a movie project with Ramsay -- the independent movie "Maratabat (Dangal at Katarungan)" written by Arlyn dela Cruz -- because of her busy schedule.

She also noted how the project "required me to shave my head."

"I was offered a beautiful, moving & powerful material for an indie film slated to join the Barcelona Film Festival. Last year I was offered an excellent role but it required me to shave my head. Over the weekend @ramsayderek11 called me because he had spoken w/ Ms Arlyn & he loved her pitch & wanted to connect us because the project felt like a worthwhile challenge. Boy & I met w/ her last night & her script was superb. Unfortunately the movie's production timing is immediate & there's no way to juggle my schedule to make shooting possible," Aquino wrote as the photo's accompanying caption.

Aquino's last movie was the Metro Manila Film Festival 2013 hit "My Little Bossings" with her son Bimby.

Aside from her morning show "Kris TV," Aquino also co-hosts the primetime talk show "Aquino and Abunda Tonight" with Boy Abunda.
