'Santino' shares his painful past
Even "miracle boy" Zaijan Jaranilla, or popularly known as Santino of “May Bukas Pa,” has a painful past.
In a press conference for Jaranilla's hit television series, the child actor disclosed that his parents had separated when he was only five years old.
The now seven-year-old actor said he would simply recall this painful memory whenever he needs to cry for a certain scene.
Jaranilla, like any ordinary boy, also wishes to have a complete family. The miracle boy, who is living with his father, Zenon, along with his two younger siblings, admitted that he always misses his mother.
His mother, Glendelle, accompanies Jaranilla during his taping days.
When asked if he already told his parents that he yearned for their reconciliation, the boy replied: "Hindi ko po [sinasabi]."
Jaranilla, who started as a commercial endorser, has become a household name because of his TV series.
"Nakakatuwa kasi minsan kahit namamasyal kami tinatawag nila ako na Santino tapos parang gusto nilang nagpapagamot sa akin," he shared.
He added that people would sometimes approach him and ask him to tell "Bro" to bless them.
"Minsan po gusto nila kausapin ko si Bro para sa kanila daw kasi malakas daw po ako sa kanya (Jesus)," Jaranilla said.
