After Echo's wedding, will Piolo be next?
MANILA – Following his friend Jericho Rosales’ wedding with TV personality Kim Jones, Piolo Pascual maintained he does not feel any pressure to settle down.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News’ Marie Lozano on Monday, Pascual said he promised his son that they would spend more time together until he turns 18.
“I hope soon. I promised my son. Hopefully before ako mag 40, makahanap na rin ako ng pwedeng makasama habambuhay. Pero hindi rin naman ako nagpapa-pressure. Mahirap nga masyado akong nasasanay na kasal sa trabaho, on call, daig pa doktor. Okay naman. There's a time for everything,” he said.
Pascual, however, said he is extremely happy for Rosales who finally took the big step.
“I'm happy for him because ang tagal na rin nun. Si Jericho naghihintay na lang yun. Hindi na rin naman kami bumabata. Sunud-sunod na rin yan. Siguro masyado lang tayong busy sa trabaho pero yung mga ganyang bagay, dumadating yan sa atin,” he said.
Rosales and Pascual were both members of the all-male group The Hunks.
According to Pascual, when the time comes that he finally wants to tie the knot, it would mean a lot if his son would approve it.
“Me, being the father, it would be nice if aprobado sa kanya pero hindi naman siya ang makikisama. Just the same, whoever he wants to end up with, it would be nice if I would know the girl pero at the end of the day, siya naman ang makikisama, hindi ako. I told him, regardless who we end up with, ganun talaga,” he said.
Asked how his relationship with Shaina Magdayao is doing, Pascual said, “Okay naman. Lie low lang muna tayo sa ganun kasi pareho kaming busy. What's good about Shaina and I is that we are friends. We are always in touch. Hindi nawawala ang communication. Kalma lang.”
