MANILA, Philippines - Veteran columnist Mon Tulfo scolded his younger brothers Erwin, Raffy and Ben for threatening to take revenge against celebrity couple  Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto.

In an interview with morning show "Umagang Kay Ganda," Tulfo said that his brothers' reactions were really uncalled for.

"Alam mo, maling-mali sila doon. Pinagalitan ko sila, sabi ko bakit naman ganoon?" he said.

"Alam mo ‘yung bugso lang ng damdamin, they realized their mistakes. Unang una ‘yung public opinion ay nasa atin na and pangalawa ‘yung revenge is the lowest form of retaliation, yun ang sabi ko.'

The Tulfo brothers on Monday vowed to take revenge against Santiago and Barretto for beating up their brother at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 last Sunday.

An amateur video on YouTube showed the celebrity couple and other members of their group beating up Tulfo after he allegedly took pictures of Barretto scolding an airline staff over their missing luggage.

Tulfo has filed libel and grave coercion  charges against the couple.

He said that while he can forget the physical hurt he sustained from the incident, he could not forgive the fact that people can see how he was mauled by Santiago's group.

Tulfo said he's a very forgiving person but he would continue the legal battle against the couple to teach them a lesson.
