Cebu Pacific worker's family plans to sue Claudine
MANILA, Philippines - The family of a Cebu Pacific ground crew member who allegedly endured verbal abuse from actress Claudine Barretto plans to sue the actress.
The mother of Charisse Bocboc said she got dismayed upon hearing that her daughter became the object of Barretto's ire at NAIA 3 last Sunday.
The actress allegedly berated Bocboc and her colleague Kristine Ilagan after the airline offloaded Barretto's luggage.
"Napakasakit naman talaga ang ginawa niya, duru-duruin niya ang anak ko. Binababoy niya eh! Iyan ay pinapaaral namin, hindi sa pinapaaral namin na mumurahin lang at babastusin. Napasakit lang bilang nanay!" Elizabeth Bocboc said.
She said her daughter went home crying after the incident.
Charisse didn't go to work for 4 days.
"Di yung husgahan nila agad o mumurahin nila agad porque mayaman sila mahirap lang kami, kaya ang ano ko sa kanila, sana naman ma-realize nila," her mother said.
ABS-CBN News tried to Charisse's side but she declined.
She said her company advised her to avoid commenting on the issue, especially on the brawl that ensued.
However. Charisse has issued a handwritten affidavit.
The Bocboc family plans to sue barreto.
The Commission on Human Rights said the actress' behavior is considered a violation of human rights.
"They can file a case dito sa CHR if they want to, sapagkat dignidad nila yan, 'di nila kasalanan iyan," CHR Commissioner Etta Rosales said.
Barretto's camp said they are ready to face any charges against them. - report from Alex Santos, ABS-CBN News; ANC
