MANILA, Philippines -- Following a week-long word war between their families, Jacyln Jose, mother of actress Andi Eigenmann, has appealed to the mother of  actor Albie Casino to give their granddaughter Adrianna Gabrielle "a chance to live a good life."

Over the week since Albie was assaulted by a group of men outside a bar in Makati City, a trend of one-upping each other's accusations has sprung between the opposing camps.

Eigenmann, in an interview earlier this week, detailed alleged past indiscretions committed by then-boyfriend Albie over news of her pregnancy.

Albie's mother Rina, on the other hand, alleged that Jose hit her daughter when under the influence of alcohol -- an accusation outright denied by both mom and daughter -- and called Eigenmann a "liar" for supposedly refusing to acknowledge the truth of their situation.

With Adrianna Gabrielle, said to be the daughter of Eigenmann with Albie, caught in the middle, Jose on Saturday appealed to Rina to stop hurling accusations at Eigenmann, if only to allow her granddaughter to have a chance at a "happy life."

"Sana maisip mo na kung anumang paninirang gagawin mo sa anak ko para ba bumagsak siya -- kung sisirain niyo si Andi -- para niyo naring sinira ang apo niyo. Hindi ko papayagan 'yun," Jose said in an interview on "Showbiz Inside Report."

"Give her a chance to live a good life, to have a happy life, to have a happy childhood. She's a happy baby eh, sayang," Jose tearfully added.

"Sino bang maa-apektuhan ng lahat ng ito? Siya (Gabrielle)."

Asked what has changed since becoming a grandmother, Jose said Gabrielle, endearingly called Baby Ellie by her mom, has brought more joy into their lives.

"Napalitan lahat ng sama ng loob, lahat ng nangyari kay Andi, ni Gabrielle. After a while nagkaroon ng sigla dito sa bahay na 'to," she said.

Meanwhile, in a separate interview, Rina said she wants "peace and forgiveness" among their families in due time.
