MANILA, Philippines – While good friends in real life, actresses Maja Salvador and Kim Chiu won't play chums in their newest television series.

Following a co-starring stint in TV series “My Binondo Girl,” Salvador and Chiu will be reunited on ABS-CBN’s next major teleserye, “Ina, Anak, Kapatid,” where the two will play feisty females ready to fight for the people they love.
Salvador, who played rival to Chiu’s character in “My Binondo Girl,” has since become good friends with the former “Big Brother” housemate. They are both excited to start filming for their new soap together, Salvador said.
Sabi nga namin, parang premonition ‘yun na after that, gagawa pala kami ng teleserye namin,” she said.
Although they are friendly behind the camera, Salvador hinted she and Chiu will portray rivals in “Ina,” saying that scenes of slapping and hair-pulling aren’t far from happening.
“Parehas kaming palaban dito. At teleserye eh, so pwede makarating [sa sampalan, sabunutan],” Salvador said.
Joining Salvador and Chiu in the new soap are actors Enchong Dee and Xian Lim. The series, directed by Don Cuaresma and Jojo Saguin, will start filming this May for a release later this year.
