The estranged husband of actress Ruffa Gutierrez will no longer fight for the custody of their two children.

Gutierrez, one of the hosts of “The Buzz,” said Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas will sign the documents that will give the sole custody of Lorin and Venice to her. 

Bektas, who will fly to Hong Kong for a business trip, is coming to the Philippines to sign the papers, the actress added.

“After two years, it’s high time na gawin kong legal ang lahat… Ang mga bata, [they’re] with me. I’m supporting them emotionally, spiritually, financially. I think dapat legal na nasa akin sila,” she said.

She added: “Alam mo naman siya (Bektas) pabago-bago ang isip. So, hopefully between now and then, kung anong sinabi niya sa akin gawin pa rin niya.”

Gutierrez also clarified that the current issue has nothing to do with child support just yet.

‘No’

When asked if she was still willing to go back to Bektas, Gutierrez said: “He asked me that so many times in the past. More than 15 times. My answer is always still the same na ‘no.’”

“Masyadong malalim ang issue namin. So much has happened. Hindi ko [pa] nakakalimutan ang mga nangyari,” the actress, who claimed to have been physically abused by Bektas, said.

She said what is important is that the two of them have already moved on with their lives and that she is now doing okay. 
 
Bektas and Gutierrez got married in Manila in 2003. They decided to end their marriage four years later.
