Actor Jericho "Echo" Rosales insists that rumors that he was unfaithful to ex-girlfriend actress Heart Evangelista are untrue. He said that news about his infidelity may have come from wrong conclusions made by people on the set of his foreign film and and TV projects.

Echo has been romantically linked to two of his female co-stars in separate foreign projects. One project, tentatively titled "I Love U Virus" is a Hollywood flick that stars him and young American actress Briana Evigan.

The other project stars Echo with Malaysian actress Carmen Soo. It is a Malaysian soap opera.

Echo insists that whatever romantic overtures other people may have seen him make toward his co-stars were all part of his performance. His projects, after all, he explained, are both love stories.

He told Abunda that God knows what really happened between him and his co-stars. "God knows what I'm doing. Nagtatrabaho kayo bilang nag-iibigan sa pelikula. Ano'ng makikita ng tao? Nasa Pilipinas po tayo, maraming nag-iisip."

Echo said that he still hopes that he could someday be friends again with Heart.

"Sana malampasan naming dalawa itong pagsubok na 'to. I just hope and pray that someday we'll bump into each other and we'll talk. And then we'll be friends. And then we could fix our lives. I hope and pray that if that special day will happen, na magkakabalikan kami, I'll still have my heart for Heart.

"Siyempre mahal ko sya eh. Gusto ko siyang safe, masaya, maunlad, payapa, maliwanag ang pag-iisip. Balang araw magkakaroon rin kami ng clarity then magiging magkaibigan kami," he said. 

Heart on Saturday, however, over an interview on GMA-&7's Startalk, said that she knows for a fact that Echo was unfaithful to her.

"The third party it's true. Pumunta si Jericho sa bahay ng Malaysian girl. Aside from nakita ko si Jericho meron din silang something ni Briana girl from L.A. And nakita ko rin ang pagbabago niya. Nag-aaway na rin kami dahil parang hindi ko na siya mapigilan," she told Startalk.
 
Heart added that contrary to Echo's claims, she made it very clear to him that she was breaking up with him. She denied that she only sent "vague" text messages to Echo, responding to his earlier statements that he was "surprised" by the break-up, and only learned about it when Heart announced it on TV.

"Hindi ko siya tinext tinawagan ko siya... nung tinawagan ko siya sinabi ko sa kanya na it's over. tapos na, I'm moving on... I feel I've done so much. Dami na ako na-give up sa buhay ko. Pati pamilya ko nadamay sa katigasan ng ulo ko. It's time for me to move on and find somebody na I deserve naman," she said.

She also appealed to Echo to stop making false statements to give people the impression that he's the victim.

"Stop it! Nasaktan mo na ako, tama na. I will find it in my heart to eventually forgive you but just stop it. Stop saying bad things about me," she said, making her appeal through Startalk.

Heart is currently in Dubai with actor Richard Gutierrez, taping for their TV series "Asero".

Echo, meanwhile, is in Malaysia taping his TV series with Carmen Soo.
