Dionesia Pacquiao, mother of pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao, is now paying the price of fame as she bravely faces her own share of intrigues. 
 
First stop, “Mommy” Dionesia, who is into ballroom dancing, denied that she is dating a dance instructor (DI).

“DI [daw ang] boyfriend ko. Walang DI na binata. May mga asawa yan. Kilalang-kilala ko mga asawa nila,” she clarified in an interview on “Umagang Kay Ganda.”

She also came into the defense of the dance instructors who were being accused of demanding a huge sum of money from their patrons. 

“Di totoo ang balita [na ang] mga DI nag-demand ng malaking pera,” she said.

Disheartened by the intrigues, she admitted that these controversies are making her think twice about joining show business. “Parang nanghihina [ang] puso at isip ko lalo na [kapag] may nabasa ako sa balita [na] parang nanlalamig ang isip ko.”

Dionesia, who recently celebrated her 60th birthday, was also discouraged by Manny himself.

“[Ang sabi niya], ‘Huwag na lang Ma, baka mapapagod ka lang dyan,’” she said.
 
There are now offers to feature Dionesia’s life story in either movie or drama series. She has also been invited to guest in dance shows.

“[May offers] pero di ako sumagot. Sabi ko [pag-iisipan] ko pa ito kung kaya ko ba ito,” she said.

Dionesia, meantime, revealed that she will soon appear on television as an endorser of vitamins. She said the shooting will start this month.
