Carla Humphries, or Madeleine Lauren Humphries in real life, is one of the promising actresses in show business today.

Humphries, who has a Filipino mother and an Italian-American father, is best known for her roles as Rita Arguelles on "Bituing Walang Ningning" and Brenda Smith on "Abt Ur Luv." She was also part of defunct afternoon series "Ligaw na Bulaklak."

She recently got involved in a controversy after she was caught kissing actor Raymond Gutierrez in Camarines Sur.

Humphries, a former member of Star Magic, is currently managed by Gutierrez’s mother, Annabelle Rama.

She turned 21 today, May 20.
