The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Thursday subpoenaed controversial cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hayden Kho and two other doctors, including Dr. Vicki Belo, with regard to its investigation on the alleged sex video involving him and actress Katrina Halili.

Vicente de Guzman, head of NBI Anti-Fraud and Computer Crimes Division, said Kho was summoned to answer the charges filed against him by Halili.

On Wednesday, Halili accused Kho, her former lover, and others of violation of Republic Act 9262 or the law on violence against women and children. As part of the procedure, Halili underwent psychological evaluation in the NBI on Thursday.

Belo, Kho’s former girlfriend, and Dr. Eric Johnston Chua were also summoned to shed light on the case. Belo reportedly had a copy of the sex video while Chua was named as the person allegedly responsible for spreading the video.

Aside from the NBI, Halili also met with Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez to seek his help.

Gonzalez said the case can go to the fiscal's office for a preliminary investigation but he clarified that he needs to wait for the report of the NBI so he can evaluate it.

Respondents like Kho, Gonzalez added, should be given an opportunity to answer the complaint.

"Other victims should come out and put a stop to this once and for all... this is a product of a sick mind, or a disturbed personality," the justice secretary said.

Revoke Kho’s license

Halili also asked the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) to revoke the license of cosmetic surgeon Kho after their sex scandal broke out.

In her six-page complaint, Halili said Kho should be stripped of his license for immorality after videotaping their sexual intercourse without her consent. Their sex video is now circulating in the Internet.

“Hindi [ko] alam atsaka [kung] kayo mismo [ang] manonood makikita niyo kung pano kami binaboy ni Hayden. Dapat siyang makaulong,” she said.

In her complaint, Halili narrated that she and Kho had a romantic affair in late 2007, but this ended in January 2008. The two met when she attended an event of the Belo Medical Group in 2007.

She said rumors about their sex video came out in December 2008, prompting her to confront Kho about it.

Four videos

She said Kho, in a text message to her manager, had initially denied any sex video. The doctor, Halili claimed, later admitted that he has four videos with Halili.

According to Halili, this was Kho's text message sent to her manager in May 2009: "There are four videos with Kat (Halili), if [I’m] not mistaken, two dancing, one talking, one obscene."

Halili claimed the doctor also told her manager that Belo had copies of these videos. Kho also assured her camp that copies of those videos would not go public, the actress claimed.

On Wednesday, the actress vowed to go after Kho and others who were responsible for spreading the sex video, which created a national uproar. Halili's fellow stars, as well as other lawmakers, condemned the cosmetic surgeon.

“Dapat wala ako dito. Sobrang depressed ako sa lahat ng nangyari. Pero kailangan ko ng harapin. Kailangang magbayad ang mga taong gumawa niyan sa akin,” she said.

She also urged other alleged victims of Kho to come forward.  “Huwag niyong hayaan na ang mga kagaya nila ay hindi napaparusahan. Sana lumabas na din po kayo.”

As for those who continue to watch the video, she said: “May mga kapatid din po kayo, may mga anak  kayo. Sana po maawa kayo sa amin kasi binababoy niyo po kami.”
