MANILA, Philippines - Actor-producer Cesar Montano is hoping for the return of ABS-CBN's musical game show  "The Singing Bee."

Montano, who successfully hosted the show for two years, bade goodbye to the program last February as he opted to join the gubernatorial race in his province Bohol. Unfortunately he lost to Lakas-Kampi bet Edgar Chatto.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, host of SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon, Montano, also called Buboy, said, "I'd love to. It's a matter of sitting down with the bosses."

Montano gladly shared how the show gave impact to his life particularly during the recent elections.

"Alam mo nagkakampanya ako, hindi sila interesado doon sa platform kong pakinggan. 'Kailan babalik ang 'Singing Bee?' Sabi ko, 'sandali lang pakinggan niyo muna ang sasabihin ko.' 'Okay  na panalo ka na sa amin,' sabi nila," Montano said.

Montano who had a hard time campaigning in Bohol after his only son, Christian Angelo, died on the first day of the local campaign period, said his only prayer now is for God to give him wisdom.

"Wisdom to guide us kung ano ang pa-planuhin for the day. Wisdom to know how do we guide our children toward truth and righteousnes. Minsan kasi sa dami nang ginagawa mo ay nakakalimutan mong magsabi. Ako nakakalimutan kong magsabi ng 'I love and thank you.' Assurance kasi yon na aba, mahal pa din ako nito," Montano said.
