MANILA, Philippines -- Is actress Mercedes Cabral still hurting over the delayed airing of her TV series "Hiyas"?

Cabral, a favorite of independent filmmakers, didn't attend Tuesday's press conference for the upcoming afternoon soap opera.
In a previous interview, Cabral admitted that she's disappointed about the delayed airing of her first mainstream project.
But her co-stars Zanjoe Marudo and Megan Young said they fully understand Cabral's frustration.
So naiintindihan ko yon," Marudo said during the press conference.
But I guess we just have to respect that kasi kung siya ay na-feel niya 'yon, of course we also felt that," Young admitted.
Marudo believes that Cabral also feels relieved now that everything has been settled and that viewers will finally get to see their project.
Hindi ba good things happen to those who wait," Marudo said.
Directed by Cathy Camarillo and Ted Boborol, “Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Hiyas" will premiere on Monday, May 28, after “PBB Teen Edition 4 Uber.”
