Television host Ruffa Gutierrez and her mother, talent manager Annabelle Rama, have ended their almost one-month rift after her younger brother got involved in a deadly car accident.

Actor Richard Gutierrez was injured in a car accident early Friday morning along Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa Road, Silang, Cavite. The accident killed Gutierrez’s personal assistant, Nomar Pardo, and also wounded his bodyguard.

Ruffa said both she and Rama were crying over the phone after they found out about the accident. The television host recalled that she was still in a state of shock when she called her mother.

She said her mother that time was on her way to a Tagaytay City hospital to be with the young actor.

“Nakakalungkot sabihin pero minsan nangyayari talaga na it has to take a  tragedy para ayusin ang pamilya or makipagbati sa mga magulang mo,” Ruffa told “The Buzz” Sunday.

Rama said in jest: “Nakalimutan ko na magkaaway kaming dalawa.”

On Mother’s Day, Ruffa revealed that she and Rama were not talking following an argument. She did not, however, divulge the reason behind the fight.
