Valerie “Bangs” Garcia is one of the country's promising stars today.

A member of Star Magic, Garcia started her career as a television host of a local variety show.

Garcia was known for portraying Bangs, a mysterious punk rocker, on ABS-CBN's defunct sitcoms "Let's Go” and "Gokada Go." She was also part of “Palos.”

She was once romantically linked to “Palos” lead star Jake Cuenca, who was then dating actress Roxanne Guinoo. She was rumored to be the reason behind Cuenca and Guinoo’s break-up.

Her next project is a drama series with Judy Ann Santos and Derek Ramsay. Currently, Garcia is busy taping for  "Kambal sa Uma," one of Kapamilya network's afternoon TV series. 

She is celebrating her 22nd birthday today.
