MANILA, Philippines -- Teen actress and "Walang Hanggan" star Julia Montes said she intends to focus on her career and set aside matters of the heart, at least for now.
Montes, who turned 17 last March, shared with entertainment talk show "Showbiz Inside Report" that she never had a boyfriend since birth -- and she doesn't see this changing anytime soon.
"Mahirap kasi, mahirap na ma-divert ang attention. Focus po muna [sa work]," she said.
Asked what qualities she looks for in a potential boyfriend, Montes said she wants someone who puts his family as a top priority.
"Gusto ko 'yung maalaga sa family, family first, at may takot sa Diyos, 'yung love ako dahil sa kung ano ako, hindi 'yung babaguhin ako," she said.
While Montes remains mum on rumors linking her to fellow celebrities -- young actor Enchong Dee has admitted "dating" her -- the "Mara Clara" star said she won't be committing to a relationship anytime soon.
"Kung mahihintay mo 'ko, ['yun ang sinasabi ko]. Kasi parang for me 'yun 'yung test," she said.
