Senator Jamby Madrigal said Wednesday that she might hold separate hearings if the camps of Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho want to avoid a face-off.

"Siguro individual ang hearing ng testimony ni Hayden at Katrina," Madrigal told ABS-CBN's morning show, "Umagang Kay Ganda". "Alang alang sa feelings nila kung ayaw nilang magharap."

The senator said she is also open to suggestions to hold a closed-door hearing on the sex scandal.

Kho's lawyer, Lorna Capulong, said they would ask Madrigal's committee on youth, women and family relations to hold a closed-door hearing, which has been set for 1 p.m. on Thursday.

"As I've said, it is enough that the victims have come forward and it's enough that many have been said on the topic. Let's focus on legislation," Capulong said.

Madrigal said she does not intend to blow up the hearing because her only intent is to draft a bill that would protect women, who are the usual victims in sex videos.

"What's important is for us to conduct a hearing on this not only for Katrina, but also for the other women," Madrigal said.

She said Halili and Kho have assured their attendance in Thursday's hearing. She also expects representatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Department of Social Welfare and Development, Commission on Human Rights and other concerned agencies to attend the hearing.

PDEA chief Dionisio Santiago had said that they will invite Kho's mother, Irene, to provide them more details about the people who are supposedly supplying her son with drugs, particularly ecstacy also called a party drug.

Santiago said the PDEA is also willing to administer drug tests on Halili and Kho.

Kho's mother has accused Halili of pushing her son to using drugs. She also accused Halili of "acting" to pin down her son on the sex video scandal.

Aside from Halili, at least four more women have been reportedly featured in Kho's alleged collection of sex videos.

There is one solution to this mess: Hayden Kho must be stripped of his medical license and sent to prison for his irresponsible and criminal behavior. He does not deserve to be honored as a doctor and his unethical behavior is mere proof. He admits to the use of illegal drugs and acts of voyeurism, which are criminal to say the least. And I still haven't mentioned his immoral behavior towards women.

The Philippine Medical Association should recognize that this individual and those like him are not worthy of their titles. How would you like to have a practicing surgeon who is known to for his voyeuristic escapades operate on anyone? Or a doctor who prescribes medications but he himself known to be an illegal drug user? The judicial system should also be involved and should recognize that this individual should be treated as a criminal for his evil behavior against women. The senate should only be involved in passing stronger laws against the abuse of women and their abusers.

Hayden Kho has brought shame, ridicule, and disgust not only to Filipino doctors but to every Filipino professional. His crimes should not go unpunished and the removal of medical license should serve as an example that these crimes will not be tolerated.

As for Hayden's mother, regardless of whether Halili pushed the drugs on Hayden or not, her son is a doctor and should know better than to take any drugs that might put his medical license in danger.
