MANILA – Kapamilya stars Pokwang and Zanjoe Marudo are humbled that they are now being tagged as the current King and Queen of Skylight Films, a division of ABS-CBN production outfit Star Cinema.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Pokwang said the title only reminds her to be grateful to her supporters who always watch her movies under Skylight Films.

Pressured, oo.

Marudo, for his part, said it is a big title to live up to but promised to do his best to give moviegoers what they deserve.

Mas pananatiliin pa namin na tama kung ano man 'yung binansag nila,” he said.

Currently, Pokwang and Marudo are promoting their upcoming movie “My Illegal Wife,” whose first trailer was released over the weekend where the two are seen reenacting memorable scenes from past Star Cinema movies.

Directed by Tony Reyes, “My Illegal Wife” tells the story of Clarise (Pokwang), a single mother looking for a father figure for her two kids.

Desperado ako dito,” she said.

The perfect opportunity comes when Clarise gets stranded on an island with a stranger, Henry (Marudo), who wakes up with amnesia. She convinces him into thinking that they are married.

Aside from Pokwang and Marudo, "My Illegal Wife" also stars Empoy Marquez, Edgar Allan Guzman, Joy Viado, Mikylla Ramirez, Steven de Guzman, Anita Linda, Beauty Gonzales and Pooh.

The comedy will hit cinemas nationwide on June 11.
