Pokwang and Pooh together in 'Pookwang' concert

Do you want to laugh and be entertained? Then watch the most "spooftacular" comedy show of the year -- "Pookwang" -- with the comic duo of star comedienne Pokwang and actor-comedian Pooh.
It's true. The comedic icons, Pokwang and Pooh, will be having their first concert together all the Fridays and Saturdays of June, 8 p.m. at the Music Museum.
"First time po namin ito sa isang concert na ganito. Bonggang-bonggang tripleng aliw ang magagaganap kapag pinanood mo ito, sa opening pa lang ay bitin kami sa mga paghahagis sa amin, kasi gusto namin kapag hinagis kami dalawang araw bago kami bumaba," Pokwang said.
For Pooh it is a well-planned concerned. "Ito ay pinaghandaan talaga…mayroon kaming three days na lifting dito walang babaan, opening palang ibang klase."
The comedians said the concert will be more on comedy skit and dancing. For those who want them to sing, well, request granted since they will also render songs for their viewers. But according to Pooh, for most of the songs their weekly special guests will be in charge of it.
Asked of what is new with their concert, Pooh replied: "Dito po iyong habang nagda-dance may spiels, may skit na habang na nagda-dance na ang tagal-tagal ng dance nasa ere kami, iba po, ibang atake, ibang material."
"Mula umpisa hanggang matapos para sa akin ay parang puro highlights talaga dahil lagi kaming nasa-high, aabot na kami sa lights," Pokwang added.
The best thing in the concert according to its director, Andrew de Real is that you can bring kids in the show. "Hindi siya bastos, hindi siya malaswa pwede niyong dalhin ang mga bata."
Pokwang or Marietta Subong in real life is a member of ABS CBN's Star Magic group of entertainers. She rose to fame after winning in ABS-CBN's "Clown in a Million." She’s now part of the sitcom "That’s My Doc" and a mainstay of daily noontime variety show "Wowowee."
Pooh or Reynold Lagrimas Garcia, started his career as a sing-along comic at Nota at Kuwela in Caloocan. From there he moved to Musicbox, Jeff’s Café, and then The Library. At The Library, director Andrew de Real became his mentor. Pooh had appeared in Kapamilya’s shows and also traveled the Philippines and other countries abroad to perform. Pooh also won the 2006 Aliw Awardee for Best Male Stand-up Comedian.
The comedian got his stage name from his favorite Disney character "Winnie the Pooh. "
