Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo
MANILA – “I’ve never been happier.”
These were the words of Matteo Guidicelli when asked about the current state of his heart amid persistent rumors that he and Sarah Geronimo are now in a relationship.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Guidicelli admitted Geronimo is one of the reasons why he is happy, adding that he never denied anything every time he is asked about the singer-actress.
“Masaya naman siyempre. Sasabihin ko I’ve never been happier,” he said.
Recently, the two Kapamilya stars were spotted in double dates with real-life couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo.
Asked why they seem to be more open now, Guidicelli said, “Ewan ko kung tamang panahon ba but wala naman akong dine-deny. Wala naman akong sinabi. Basta we are just enjoying every moment and just doing our own thing.”
“I think it’s time for Sarah to enjoy her life more. She’s already 25 and she’s starting to enjoy everything much more. I’m happy for that,” the actor added.
According to Guidicelli, he and Geronimo watched the singer-actress’ movie “Maybe This Time” early this week with a group of friends.
Commending Geronimo’s acting, Guidicelli said, “Ang galing. Congrats kay direk and of course Sarah was awesome. Lahat ng mga iyak niya sobrang totoo kumbaga. So masarap panoorin. It was cool. Congratulations to all of them.”
When prodded if Geronimo’s parents know of their dates, the actor quickly said, “Oo naman, alam naman nila lahat.”
Meanwhile, Guidicelli proudly shared how much his family loves Geronimo.
“My mom loves Sarah, [napakilala ko na]. Okay naman, okay naman lahat,” he said.
Asked if he thinks he is Geronimo’s lucky charm, Guidicelli said, “I guess she deserves every bit of it. She’s amazing, she’s talented. I think she deserves to enjoy her life more. I don’t know [if I’m a lucky charm]. I have no idea. Am I?”
Aside from the success of “Maybe This Time,” which earned P100 million in one week, Geronimo was also recently named as the Box Office Queen of 2013 for “It Takes a Man and a Woman.”
The Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation also named the 25-year-old "Voice of the Philippines" judge as the Female Concert Performer for her “Perfect 10” show and Female Recording Artist of the Year for her album “Expressions.”
In addition to this, Geornimo was also named the Best-selling Filipino Artist at the 22nd edition of the World Music Awards held in Monaco last May 27.
