MANILA, Philippines - The long wait is finally over.

Since their marriage fell apart decades ago, Sharon Cuneta and former husband Gabby Concepcion saw each other again on the set of the megastar’s self-titled television show Monday night.

The much anticipated reunion between Cuneta and Concepcion, one of the biggest love teams in show business in the 80s, happened on “Sharon,” and not on the show of their daughter, KC, as earlier reported.

In her previous interview, KC revealed that her parents agreed to guest on her own morning show, "Simply KC."

Concepcion on Monday night dropped by at the studio for the taping of the special episode of “Sharon.”  KC was also present to witness the reunion of her parents.

The special episode might be aired on Sunday.

Earlier, KC said she was excited with the meeting.

"Of course, [excited na po ako] pero hindi ko pa po iniisip kasi for me it's not entertainment. For me, totoong buhay ito. Ang tagal ko ding tinry na makapag-usap silang dalawa ng hindi nag-aaway,” she said, adding:

“For them to be in the show na kasama ako, magkaharap, ay malaking malaking bagay sa akin ‘yon. Ang tagal bago kami makarating dito."

In a separate interview, Concepcion said he was looking forward to the much anticipated reunion.

"Masaya. Masaya siyempre. Hindi ko ma-describe ‘yong feeling. Nararamdaman ko na lang, handa na," he said.
