MANILA, Philippines – Will President-elect Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III make history by being the first president to tie the knot while in office?
According to controversial and flamboyant show biz psychic Madam Auring, a Palace wedding for Aquino and his girlfriend, Shalani Soledad, can still happen but not in 2010.
"What I can say is, it's not good for [Aquino] to get married this year. 2010 has a 'round' number at the end, which is not good for him. There should only be one round number in the year, and the last number should not look like you're being trapped," Madam Auring, Aurora Erfelo in real life, told abs-cbnNEWS.com.
She added: “Hindi siya magpapakasal ngayong taong ito. Sinasabi ko sa kanya ‘yan nang diretsahan. One to two years pa from now magpapakasal si Noynoy. Sure ako r’yan. (He will not get married this year. I'm telling him that straight. He will get married about a year or two years from now. That I'm sure of.)"
Will the 50-year-old president-elect still end up with Soledad, the 30-year-old Valenzuela City councilor?
Of course, said the flamboyant psychic.
Madam Auring also said Aquino will follow the example set by his parents, Sen. Ninoy Aquino and former president Corazon Aquino.
In his previous interviews, the bachelor president-elect did not seem to be in a hurry to marry Soledad.
During his first press conference following his proclamation as president on Wednesday, Aquino said he would consult Madam Auring about his possible future with Soledad.
Aquino said: “Pipilitin nating masagot ‘yan sa lalong madaling panahon (We’ll try to answer that question in the soonest possible time).”
Soledad earlier said she and Aquino have agreed that, if elected, they have to give up their personal interests to focus on their work as public servants. -Report by Boy Villasanta, abs-cbnNEWS.com
