MANILA - Crooner Erik Santos is back in the country after working with popular American songwriter and pianist Jim Brickman in the United States for almost a month.

The Filipino singer was all praises for the American composer.

"Si Jim Brickman napaka-brilliant, napaka-nice, napakagaling na musician. 'Yong emotion niya, kapag narinig mo siyang mag-piano, mapapatigil ka kasi ‘yong emotion na ginagawa niya sa trabaho niya ay sobra sobra," Santos told ABS-CBN News.

All the songs in his upcoming sixth album under Star Records were composed by Brickman. Santos did a revival of Brickman’s hits like "Valentine," "Your Love," "Destiny," "The Gift" and "Love of My Love."

While in the US, Santos shared that he also did a music video for his album and photo shoots.

The singer, who confessed that he was nervous when he first met Brickman, said he is excited to work again with the composer. The two will do a concert together in October.

Santos, the grand winner of ABS-CBN's singing competition "Star in A Million," is a mainstay of weekly musical variety show "ASAP '09."
