Cops deny arresting ex-PBB housemate over drugs
MANILA -- Police at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) denied that they arrested former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate Divine Smith after allegedly finding illegal substances in her luggage.
According to DZMM reporter Dennis Datu, Smith was scheduled to fly to Cebu last May 29 when she left her baggage in a taxi. The cab driver then turned over her belongings to the lost and found section of NAIA. Supposedly, marijuana was found in her luggage.
The airport's Intelligence Investigation Division then contacted Smith via Facebook and Twitter after she posted that her bag was missing.
On Tuesday, Smith went to airport to retrieve her bag but didn't get it because she supposedly had to get a clearance from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), which is now investigating if the substance found is really marijuana.
Smith denied that she carried illegal substances, noting that she doesn't know what happened after she left her bag.
