Why Julia Barretto was hospitalized
MANILA – Julia Barretto is now feeling much better days after she collapsed while in line at an embassy due to over fatigue.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Barretto narrated what happened last June 4 when she was rushed to a hospital.
“Okay na ako. Biglaan lang yung nangyari but I’m better now. What really happened, late na kami na-pack out tapos I had to wake up really early for UK Embassy because we have a show next month sa London.”
“Nagkaka-chills na ako there tapos meron na akong signs na I’m going to faint. I faint a lot so kapag alam kong papunta na ako doon, I tell my mom. Good thing my mom was there tapos minadali namin para ma-rush na ako sa ER. Na-ER ako, they told me I had to stay. I had high fever and parang na-over fatigue na rin kasi nag-give up na yung body ko,” she said.
Barretto said the doctors advised her to get enough rest, which she obediently followed.
“Nag-one day off muna kami sa taping kasi I had to sleep and rest and take some medications pero mostly talaga rest. Important pala sa katawan yung rest,” she said.
Meanwhile, Barretto is grateful that a lot of people now see her improvement in acting, which she attributes to her co-stars on “Mirabella.”
“Iba na talaga kasi you will grow. It’s so important to love what you do. The more you do it, the more you appreciate it, the more you start to love what you do more, you just really grow. Depende yun sa mga tao sa paligid mo. They should be the ones who will uplift you,” she said.
With “Mirabella” rating well, Barretto said she is glad that Filipino viewers embrace the story of her character, which teaches the audience real life lessons.
Based on the latest data from Kantar Media, “Mirabella” posted a nationwide rating of 19.6% on Tuesday. Its rival show on GMA-7, meanwhile, only registered 16.3% on the same day.
