MANILA - Former sweethearts Sam Milby and Anne Curtis shared that they are happy to be together again -- but only as friends.

"Okay na okay kami ngayon pero as friends lang. We talk sometime, keep in touch," Milby said.

"Of course you know there's still that awkward stage, pero okay naman kami. We are good," Curtis said.

The actress also shared that she was happy to join in on Milby's 25th birthday celebrations last May 25. "I do have a gift for him. I just wanted to give it to him because it's something na I know he will like and will be able to use," the actress said.

She shared that her wish for Sam is to find the right woman and for the actor to always be healthy, since he works hard.

Asked if there's a chance for their love to rekindle, Milby replied: "Anything is possible. I never closed any doors naman. Pero right now we are just friends. We both moved on, but who knows what happens in the future. Masarap ma-in-love pero huwag pilitin. Let it happen."

Curtis, meanwhile, is maintaining a "que sera" attitude. "Only time can tell. If it's meant to be or not," she said.

Currently, the two are busy with their respective careers and both are reportedly enjoying their time as singles.

Milby, admitted however, that he sometime misses the times he had with Curtis. "May nga days like Christmas, birthdays ba gayan na parang nakaka-miss. May mga days na ganyan na nakaka-miss minsan," he said.

Right now, Milby is busy taping for ABS-CBN’s hit television series “Only You,” while Curtis will soon grace the television screens with her mini-series “The Wedding.”
