MANILA, Philippines - Actress Bea Alonzo has admitted that she and best friend Shaina Magdayao had a misunderstanding.

During her live interview on “The Buzz” Sunday, Alonzo quickly pointed out that it is normal for friends to go through that stage.

“Never kaming nagkaroon ng confrontation. Hindi kami nagkaroon ng ganoon. Although, sa kahit na anong friendship, talagang nagkakaroon kayo ng stage ng hindi pagkakaintindihan or ‘yong hindi ninyo napag-uusapan,” Alonzo said.

Reports said Magdayao’s rumored romantic relationship with John Lloyd Cruz, Alonzo’s on-screen partner, was the reason behind the rift.

Alonzo, however, clarified that the rumor has nothing to do with their issue.

She said: “Siguro blessing in disguise ‘yong issue kay John Lloyd dahil doon mas lalo kaming na-push [ni Shaina] to fix it…. Kasi kahit na pagbali-baligtarin mo man ang mundo, ang hirap makakita ng totoong kaibigan."

Alonzo also said she and her best friend of 9 years are now okay.

Currently, Alonzo is busy taping and promoting her upcoming series "Magkaribal."
