MANILA, Philippines – After saying sorry to Amalia Fuentes via an interview with ABS-CBN News on Thursday, television host Bianca Gonzalez apologized once again to the veteran actress, who slapped her with a libel case.

On Friday, during her morning show “Umagang Kay Ganda” on ABS-CBN, Gonzalez reiterated that she never intended to put Fuentes’ name in a bad light.

She also hopes that her rift with the veteran actress will end soon.

“Once again I had no bad intention whatsoever and I also hope na ma-resolve ito and I respect so much ‘yung opinion ni Ms. Amalia,” she said.

Gonzalez’ name was dragged into the bitter feud of Fuentes and controversial talent manager Annabelle Rama when the “Pinoy Big Brother” host wrote a column in the Philippine Star, which was published last February.

The article featured an interview with Rama and her husband, actor Eddie Gutierrez. Here, Rama was quoted as saying something about Fuentes.

“I would like to apologize dahil sa wala namang taong may gusto ng gulo or makasakit, lalo na ‘yung artikulo ko basically ay feature column, so ang column na ‘yon ay love story ni Tita Annabelle at Tito Eddie. Eh si Tita Annabelle kapag nagkwento siya ay very candid so nalagay ko ang isang direct quote at I think ito ‘yung naging basis nitong [libel],” Gonzalez explained.

“Kung sinuman ang nakabasa noong artikulo na ‘yon, and me, personally noong sinusulat ko [‘yon], I really don’t have any bad intention whatsoever to put anyone in a bad light, whether si Ms. Amalia or Tita Annabelle or Tito Eddie. Wala talagang intention to malign anyone or bigyan ng masamang imahe kahit sino. Of course obviously with his case, it means na naaapektuhan si Ms. Amalia whether it’s her or anyone around her,” she added.

Gonzalez, who has yet to receive a copy of the complaint, said she had to seek legal counsel as this is her first time to face a potential court case.
