MANILA - "The Voice Kids," ABS-CBN's version of the hit global format, reached a new milestone in ratings after scoring last Sunday its biggest ever viewership a month into its airing.

The singing competition for kids, which premiered last May 24 with weekend episodes, got 35.5% and 37.5% in national TV ratings last Saturday and Sunday, respectively, according to Kantar Media.

Its viewership last Sunday was its highest ever since the first episode of the Blind Auditions, where coaches Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, and Bamboo Manalac recruit young artists to join their respective teams.

The previous highest rating of "The Voice Kids" was 35.8%, which it set during its second telecast last May 25.

The show's audience share since its premiere has consistently ranked it No. 1 on the list of the most watched programs on weekends.

In May, "The Voice Kids" also topped the list of the overall highest-rating shows in the country for the month with an average nationwide rating of 34.1%.

With only four Blind Auditions episode left, 39 artists have already convinced at least one coach to turn around, with 13 hopefuls getting a slot in Team Sarah, 12 in Team Bamboo, and 14 in Team Lea.

Meanwhile, "The Voice Kids," in a teaser, announced that the highly anticipated Battles episodes will feature three artists from the same team in a singing match.

From 18 hopefuls per team, only six kids will move on to the next round.

"The Voice Kids," hosted by Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga, airs Saturdays at 6:45 p.m. and on Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
