Annabelle relieved after arrest warrant lifted
MANILA, Philippines – Talent manager Annabelle Rama can heave a sigh of relief after a local court jugde withdrew the arrest warrant that was issued against her.
Quezon City Regional Trial Court judge Eleuterio Bathan ordered for Rama’s arrest last June 11 after the talent manager failed to attend the court hearings involving the 14 counts of libel that actress Nadia Montenegro filed.

“Nagulat ako, shocked talaga. Super shocked noong sinabi may warrant...kaya sabi ko uwi na lang ako dyan, kaya nandito ako ngayon para humarap sa judge,” she told ABS-CBN News on Monday.
Rama’s lawyer Howard Calleja said his client did not intend to snub the case hearing.
According to Rama, Montenegro should not have celebrated her so-called victory because they have yet to hear the case.
Papano nangyari, wala pa kaming hearing, papano naging totoo ang sinasabi niya?” she said.
Rama and Montenegro are set to face in court on June 25.
While she is currently focused on the libel charges filed by Montenegro, Rama said she is also holding her ground on the libel charges filed by actress Amalia Fuentes against her.
Fuentes sued Rama for libel following the talent manager’s consecutive posts on the microblogging site Twiiter allegedly attacking her reputation and public image.
Rama also defended television host Bianca Gonzalez, who is also facing a libel suit filed by Fuentes.
Eh ano ngayon? Gamitin mo 'yung pinagaralan mo day. Ba’t wala kang trabaho? Magpapayat ka,” said Rama.
Fuentes earlier said she has nothing personal against Gonzalez but her article published on The Philippine Star is what sparked her row with Rama. – from a report by Ginger Conejero, ABS-CBN News
