Award winning actor John Lloyd Cruz said that he has nothing against actor Jake Cuenca, in case reports are true that the latter's new found love is actress Bea Alonzo. Alonzo was the love team partner of Cruz for several years, before they "split up" to venture into other roles and projects.

In an interview with abs-cbnNEW.com, Cruz said that Cuenca and Alonzo are a perfect match.

"Let's say bagay sila. Ayaw kong ibuking si Bea pero dati ko ng naririnig na--halimbawa noong sa teleserye ng "Maging Sino Ka Man", siyempre nasa set kami, minsan may TV makikita niya si Palos--sasabihin niya ang gwapo talaga ni Jake. 'Yun pala 'yon 'yun pala ang pupuntahan noon," Cruz said.

He also said that his approval or disapproval on the matter is irrelevant.

"Sino naman ako... kung doon siya masaya, huwag lang siya ma-agrabyado doon ako. Alam mo ang usapan diyan ay yung happiness ng tao wala kang karapatan na kumontra, kumbaga basta kung masaya siya I will be more than happy for her." he said

John Lloyd as Betty's Armando?

Alonzo leads the cast of ABS-CBN's upcoming television series "Betty La Fea"-- a Filipino version of the hugely popular Mexican telenovela of the same title, which also became a hit TV series in the United States, when it was aired there as "Ugly Betty".

Cruz has also learned that he's on the shortlist of actors being considered for the role of Armando, Betty's love interest.

"Hindi ko nga alam kung bakit ako nakasama doon sa listahan ng mga candidates sa Betty La Fea but as of now wala pang confirmation," Cruz said.

While the role of Armando is still up for grabs, Cruz is thankful to ABS-CBN for considering him for the part.

Cruz is also praying that his planned movie project with veteran actress (and incumbent Batangas Governor) Vilma Santos will push through.

Reports have said Batangas Governor Vilma Santos and Cruz will shoot a movie early next year under Star Cinema to be directed by Director Olive Lamasan.

John Lloyd Cruz is considered one of the country's most promising young dramatic actors.

He started his career as a teen star, appearing in "Gimik" and "Tabing Ilog" as Kaye Abad's love team.

Cruz is a member of ABS-CBN's Star Magic. His other television credits include "Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay," "It Might Be You",and currently "Maging Sino Ka Man."

He starred in the movies "Nagbibinata," "Mahal na Kung Mahal," "My First Romance," "Now That I Have You," "Dubai," "Close To You," "All About Love" and "One More Chance."
