MANILA, Philippines -- The Quizon family is ready to accept whatever happens to the country's King of Comedy Dolphy.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Thursday morning, Dolphy's son Rolly Quizon said the family members already had a meeting on Wednesday night.
"Kasi kahapon nag-meeting kami with our doctor, Doctor Aquino, and sana naman humaba-haba pa ang buhay niya (Dolphy)," Quizon said.
"As of yesterday sabi ay 24 to 48 hours kaya di na kami makaalis dito. Tinitingnan natin kung may progress pa. Pero sa ngayon tanggap na namin, lahat ng Quizon, kung ano ang mangyayari sa father ko," he said.
Quizon said aside from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Dolphy is also suffering from kidney problems.
"Yung kidney niya kasi as of yesterday di siya makaihi. Kung makaihi man siya ay konti-konti lang. Once na hindi siya makaihi, malaking problema 'yon sa kidney niya," he said.
On Wednesday night, Dolphy's other son Eric Quizon explained that Dolphy's kidneys are not functioning well.
