Kim Chiu denies 'break-up' with Gerald
MANILA, Philippines - Young actress Kim Chiu wants an end to rumors that she and long-time onscreen partner Gerald Anderson have already called it quits.
"No, wala namang hiwalay. Wala naman kami at walang nangyayari. Okay kami at masaya kami at lagpas tenga na ang mga intriga na ibinabato sa amin. Mag-iisang buwan na yata kaya okay na," Chiu told members of the press at a press conference for her latest endorsement, SMDC's MyPlace condominium, last Tuesday.
Chiu said she and Anderson have purposely avoided reading newspapers after news of their alleged break-up started surfacing. She said she and Anderson are clueless on how the issue of their so-called "misunderstanding" started.
"Siguro minsan nakikita kami ng tao na hindi kami nagpapansinan or magkahiwalay kami, or magkahiwalay kami ng lugar kung saan hindi kami magkatabi umupo or nagtatawanan. Siguro 'yon ang meaning nila ng away," she said.
Chiu stressed that she and Anderson are okay, and she hopes the negative issue about them will die.
To prove that everything is okay between him and Anderon, Chiu even bared that she asked the actor to check her latest endorsement and buy a new condo.
"Sabi ko sa kanya malapit ito sa ABS-CBN at mura lang... sabi niya susubukan ko. Sabi ko, 'Huwag mong subukan. Bumili ka na,'" Chiu said.
Kim on Kris
Chiu said she has no knowledge about the news that her "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" (KTM) co-star, Kris Aquino, is having problems with her marriage.
Chiu believes that no matter what happens, Aquino will manage to take care of herself and her problems. "Strong person naman yan at saka sobrang lakas ng tiwala sa sarili niya. So, makakaya niyang lahat kahit anong problema," she said.
To show their support to Kris and to the country's President-elect Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, Chiu bared that the KTM cast will be present at the inauguration day on June 30 at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.
"A-attend kami mga Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo cast. Nandoon kami. Parang first time mangyari at minsan lang itong mangyari sa buhay ko. So, nandoon kami," Chiu said.
The young actress also said she will miss Aquino now that KTM is on its last 2 weeks.
"Sobrang mami-miss ko siya. Sobrang ma-miss ang chikahan, tawanan, yong tsismisan namin; 'yong pa-kikay, pa-girl at shopping, nakaka-miss," she said.
Kim takes on comedy anew
Chiu will also try her comedy acting chops as she guests in comedy program “Banana Split” this whole week.
Aside from Banana Split, Chui will try again a lighter role as she is set to work with Comedy Concert Queen Ai Ai delas Alas for ABS-CBN mini series "Your Song." -Report by Reyma Buan-Deveza, abs-cbnNEWS.com
How can there be a break up
How can there be a break up if at first they are not actually together? LOL I think they are telling the truth that they are not together. Cause why will Gerald bothered to court another woman working on the other network?
