Actress Angelica Panganiban said that viewers will see a different Angelica in ABS-CBN's upcoming television series "Iisa Pa Lamang" with actress Claudine Barretto, Diether Ocampo and comeback actor Gabby Concepcion.

Panganiban said the series is not a typical drama, where viewers would cry out of pity for the lead character.

"Maraming twists na makikita dito, madaming pagbabago dahil 'yon ang talaga gusto naming mangyari magkaroon ng change sa takbo ng soap operas ngayon," she said.

Panganiban said she will play a very challenging role that is a far cry from her angelic roles in the past.

"Sobrang ibang iba talaga ito 'yung character na hindi ko pa nagagawa ever -- mataray na maldita, na super yaman, super sosyal," the actress said.

She said that she started taping for the series almost a month ago.

It is her first time to be paired up with Ocampo.

"Oo, first time na partner kami, pero we worked before comfortable naman ako (working with him) actually sa lahat kasi nag-workshop kami," she said.

Panganiban proved her professionalism as she agreed to cut her long hair short for the role.

The actress has a steady relationship with her sweetheart, actor Derek Ramsay. But she said that when it comes to work she and Ramsay make independent decisions.

"Kung ano ang trabaho niya, trabaho niya yon. At kung ano ang trabaho ko, trabaho ko yon basta pagdating sa trabaho wala na kaming say doon," Panganiban said.

Ramsay and Panganiban worked together for ABS-CBN television shows, like Judy Anne Santos' "Ysabella" and "Maging Sino Ka Man: Ang Pagbabalik."

When asked if it is true that Ramsay would like to bring her to Europe where he grew up, Panganiban replied, "Sa England kasi talaga siya lumaki so 'yon sabi naman niya dadalhin niya ako doon. Pero matagal pa 'yon kapag siguro maluwag luwag na 'yung schedule naming dalawa."

The actress said she and Ramsay find time to be together despite their busy schedules.

"Masaya, super happy, walang bago as in sinisiksik talaga namin yung oras," she said.

Panganiban said that like her, Ramsay is a free spirit who likes to go to different places and explore new things.

"Mahilig kaming mamasyal, iikot ikot lang. Wala kami actually destination magi-start ang araw namin na wala kaming plano then mag-e-end up na pagod na pagod kasi ang dami naming nagawa," she said.
