MANILA - Singer Pops Fernandez belied reports that she and actor-producer Jomari Yllana are back in each other's arms again.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Fernandez said this was impossible since they are not even talking to or seeing each other.

"Hindi pa kami nag-uusap," Fernandez stressed.

The singer said they need to be friends again before there can be any chance of a reconciliation.

"We have to be friends I think. Okay na 'yon na friends na lang kami muna," the singer said.

Asked what she will do if Yllana woos her again, the singer promptly replied: "I doubt it."

Fernandez and Yllana confirmed last March that they had broken up.

Reports said that a third party, plus financial issues, were the reasons behind the breakup, although they both denied it.

Fernandez recently had a successful concert dubbed "Divas 4 Divas" with Regine Velasquez, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and Kuh Ledesma.

She is also the newest endorser of a popular cosmetic clinic, and is engaged in promoting her HOPE album.
