MANILA, Philippines - “Tuloy ang kasal.”

This was the happy announcement of young actress LJ Moreno Thursday afternoon, referring to her wedding with basketball player Jimmy Alapag on August 19, 2010 at Laguna Beach, Orange County, California.

A year after they reconciled, LJ and Jimmy decided to tie the knot when they finally discovered they were really meant for each other.

“Napatunayan namin na kami talaga ang para sa isa’t isa,” exclaimed Moreno.

The couple had a five-year romance which started in 2003 but ended in 2008 because of a misunderstanding.

According to LJ, who is Lari Jeanne Lacsamana Ricafort in real life, she found out her beau was seeing another woman so she broke up with him.

They were back in each other’s arms last year when they met at the wedding of Viva Hot Babe Sarah Mayer.

LJ is quite excited about the wedding but will only fly to the US next month or early August.

“Anyway, may wedding planner naman kami ro’n kaya hindi kami nagmamadaling pumunta sa States,” she said matter-of-factly.

“Nando’n din naman kasi si Mama,” she added.

She’s happy, LJ admitted. Alapag’s team has been making good standing at the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) games.

“Mabuti ‘yon para inspirado kami pareho,” she quipped.

Moreno has also been busy appearing in a lot of TV shows and films especially in digital movies such as Jerrold Tarog’s “Faculty” and Dennis Marasigan’s “Vox Populi.”

Alma Moreno, LJ’s aunt, will stand as major sponsor to LJ's wedding.

“Sabi po ni Tita Ness, pupunta raw siya. Nag-aasikaso lang siya ng kanyang inauguration as councilor of Parañaque. Hindi pa kami nagkikita pero she’s okey naman po. Nagpupunta siya sa Marawi City pero madalas siya sa Parañaque City ngayon,” she said.

Alma and LJ’s mom are sisters.
