Julia Barretto prays for Estradas
MANILA -- Actress Julia Barretto on Wednesday expressed her support for former suitor Julian Estrada, the son of Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
Estrada surrendered to the police on Monday after the Sandiganbayan anti-graft court said it found probable cause to proceed with plunder and graft charges against him and issued an arrest warrant.
He is currently detained at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
In an interview at the sidelines of the farewell press conference of her fantasy series "Mirabella," Barretto offered her prayers to the Estrada family.
"Juls is a very good friend of mine. I hope he is strong right now and I'm praying for their family. They are really nice," she said.
"I believe they are all gonna be fine," she added.
Julian Estrada previously admitted that he is courting Barretto, a fellow member of Star Magic 2013.
