MANILA, Philippines -- Actress Cristine Reyes is still not owning up to her faults that led to their much-publicized family feud, according to her older sister Ara Mina.

Despite her public apology aired on entertainment talk show "The Buzz" on Sunday, Reyes still has not convinced Mina that she is sincere with her apology in the wake of a bitter court battle between the showbiz siblings.

The former sexy star had earlier demanded Reyes make a public apology in a counter-affidavit she filed early this month.

Root

In April, Mina slapped Reyes with cases of libel and grave coercion for allegedly maligning her and asking her to turn over an SUV as payment for the remaining P1.8-million balance for a Quezon City townhouse they bought in 2011 for their mother.

In her official statement, Mina said Reyes seems to be "washing her hands" of any fault, adding that by not admitting to her fault in her supposed apology, her younger sister was being insincere.

Tainted name

Mina also said Reyes' actions had tainted her name, which she has worked hard for.

No lesson learned

In her earlier interviews, Mina had said she wants Reyes to "learn a lesson."

Mina also acknowledged that "wounds" will eventually heal, but maintained that forgiveness can only be given to those who are sincere in their apology.

Public apology

On "The Buzz," the young actress maintained that she had "tried her best" to approach her sister for reconciliation, and appealed to Mina to at least be open to her efforts.

“I’m sorry and I would like to apologize if ever I offended you, sumama ang loob mo sa akin. I tried my best na pumunta sa iyo, alam mo iyan ate.
