Aquino songs cap QC inaugural party
MANILA, Philippines (2nd UPDATE) - At least 120,000 people gathered at the Quezon Memorial Circle for the inaugural party of President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.
The party started at 4 p.m. Big names in show business kicked off the "Tagumpay ng Bayan" concert at 8:30 p.m.
Aquino arrived at the concert from the inaugural reception at the Rizal Hall in Malacañang.
The presidential party left the Palace for the concert and party after 9 p.m.
Wearing a yellow T-shirt, Aquino, arrived at the party at around 10 p.m. and was welcomed by former Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte and other supporters.
Aquino immediately sat beside his nephews, Josh and James, to watch some of the artists perform.
Around 20 of Aquino's friends, led by Liberal Party's Nereus Acosta, sang a modified version of Frankie Valli's "Can't Take My Eyes Off You."
Aquino then came up on stage for his song number and jokingly asked if he could just recite a poem instead. "Magandang gabi, po. Pinapakanta nyo raw ako? Pwede ba tula na lang?" Aquino told the crowd.
With the help of a karaoke, Aquino sang two songs, the first, Frank Sinatra/Frankie Valli's "Watch What Happens," apparently for his girlfriend, Valenzuela City councilor Shalani Soledad, who was seated beside Kris in front of the stage.

Soledad took pictures of President Aquino using her cell phone as he was performing the love song. Kris, on the other hand, showed an unhappy face in response to her brother's poor singing.
In response to shouts of "more, more," President Aquino then performed Freddie Aguilar's barkada song, "Estudyante Blues."
His friends later came on stage to help him sing the song.
Co-hosts Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, and Mariel Rodriguez then sought photo opportunities with the President before letting him go.
A fireworks display capped the whole-day event at midnight.
After the concert and street party, President Aquino was to return to his residence in Times Street, Quezon City.
Among the performers at the concert were Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, Gabby Concepcion, Pokwang and Pooh.
Other performers included Kontragapi of UP, Mindanao Pakaradian from the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, and Republika. They expressed their feelings of hope for the nation, following Aquino's historic election, through cultural performances.
APO Hiking Society's Jim Paredes and composer Ryan Cayabyab were also at the concert.

Message to Shalani
Shalani Soledad:
Here is my unsolicited advise. Every man in love are all the same. This is proven not only in history but everyday in life. Woman always have a big part for all Great man because of love. A true man strives for woman.
Going direct to the point, now that Noynoy is just proclaimed president should be very proud and eager to offer you this success and propose for marriage. That should be his attitude now. Contrary to what Kris has told you to wait for another 6 years is very false. Her reasons are all unprecedented and not acceptable by any man in love. You can even ask all persons you know that Kris is wrong for you to wait. Everybody,
except Kris or her family, would want you to be the first lady NOW and this will even help Noynoy to fulfill his dreams and promises for the Philippines because there will
be two minds binded together (24x7) to better think than one mind. Especially, Noynoy is not getting any younger as well as you that you need to build your own family. Dapat din kayong magkaanak. Ikaw din baka hindi na kayo pumuwede sayang naman and the IV.
If I were you, if Noynoy will not propose within 6 mos to a year then I would simply talk to him and call it quits. He is not worthed to your love as this means he do not really love you. No matter what promises he made to the Filipino people you should still be his first priority and the Nation can understand that. You will not be a hindrance but an asset to deliver to the people because you will be of great help since you are educated and have that good experience in your own council. Do not believe to Kris because she got a motive and I do not want to talk about it. She is simply crazy. Noynoy should follow his heart. If he loves you then marry NOW. If not then QUIT. As simple as that!
Ang 'Watch what Happens' ay
Ang 'Watch what Happens' ay wala sa tuno. Hahaha. Pero it's a good thing that President Noy ay game na game lang. He sang even though he is not that good! Congratulations to you sir!
Even crabs take a break...
Will ya? let you brain breath....lol. Envy!
This looks familiar
It all started with yahoos, yeheyys, cheers, applauses, partying, dancing, jubilations, and high fives in 1986. Then, the Philippines came down crashing faster than the celebration. Clearly, the Aquino government broke the people's heart.
Is it going to happen again? Is it a curse? If ABNoy is going to ponder on petty things and concentrate on showmanship, for sure it will.
BITTER??
