MANILA, Philippines – Celebrity doctor Vicki Belo said she is saddened by her former partner Hayden Kho's decision to return to showbiz.

During the press launch of a mobile app for her clinic, Belo said she is "very sad" over Kho's decision to make a comeback as an actor. She said Kho had promised he would not return to the entertainment industry.
"I'm so sad. Actually, I'm very sad about it because promise niya sa'kin never siya babalik, pero kasi alam ko talaga doon nag-umpisa ang gulo," Belo said, referring to a string of controversies involving Kho, his affairs, and the notorious sex tapes.
Nonetheless, the celebrity doctor said she only wishes Kho will find happiness in being under the limelight anew.
"Pero kung 'yun ang gusto niya, I hope he's successful, I hope he's happy and I hope ma-handle niya better than the first time he went in," Belo said.
For his big screen comeback, Kho is set to topbill upcoming movie "The Bride and the Lover," alongside actor Paulo Avelino, and actresses Jennylyn Mercado and Lovi Poe.
For her part, Belo said she prefers to have a more "quiet" life, particularly when it comes to her romantic relationships.
"My love life is very quiet, my love life is in the hibernating mode," Belo said.
On the possibility of reconciling with Kho after their most recent break-up, Belo said they have managed to be friends.
"Hayden and I don't talk. We text, we're friends. I think in the end it became a very good break-up, pero walang-wala na. Nagre-recover pa ako," she said.
In February, Kho and Belo parted ways after rumors of the former's alleged affair with actress Nancy Castiglione spread.
At the time, the celebrity doctor said problems in their relationship were "bound to happen because [Kho] is young."
